Well Intervention

Have a Project?

EPT Wells and Production Services include intervention services and specialized pressure control tools. Our talented teams of intellectual and hands-on professionals combine global experience with an extensive range of innovative technologies and methodologies. Their goal is to not only reinvigorate production and provide access to stranded or additional hydrocarbon reserves but to also minimize the need for future interventions, reducing interruptions in production.

We perform operations split into two categories—light and heavy. Flow is everything !!!

Light Interventions

Light interventions happen in live wells while pressure is contained at the surface and involve slickline, wireline, or coiled tubing to minimize potential well blockages and change or adjust downhole equipment. Data for downhole pressure, temperature, and flow are also gathered.

Regardless of the work performed, sustaining production from each well as long as possible is crucial to sustaining inventories of oil and gas that fuel industry, commerce, and modern life.

Our Intervention Services include services to enhance, maintain and extend oil and gas production during the life of the well, including coiled tubing, cased hole and slickline, hydraulic workover and snubbing, flowback, production testing and optimization.

Heavy Interventions

Heavy interventions, on the other hand, may halt production at the formation and require removing pressure barriers—either for major equipment replacement or recompletions. You can’t stop production from declining over time, but it can be mitigated to prolong production. However, every intervention interrupts production and thus revenues. EPT W&P Specialized Pressure Control tools consist of surface and downhole products used to manage and control pressure throughout the lifecycle of a well, including blowout preventers, choke manifolds, flow back trees, and downhole valves for drilling, workover, and well intervention operations.

Consequently, interventions should be not just effective but performed as efficiently as possible when the well is offline and in the shortest time possible.  That’s where the EPT Well and Production come in.
